Why do we use lemons to ward away bad energies?

Mythological reason is Alaxmi , sister goddess of Maha Lakshmi who gives inauspicious results and effects.
So to avoid that we put lemons.

What is the reasoning behind this?
We use occult properties like lemon and other materials or herbs to 'move our consciousness internally' by the influence of external actions.

So when you put your consciousness on lemon , the moment you see lemon the quality of lemon comes to your mind and the sour quality comes to your mind. That is what you usually avoid in your food or in something you eat.
So the correspondence of the sour thoughts would immediately leave your mind and also the lemon would grab your intention.

This is the Alchemy behind using the occult property like lemon in Hindu tantra or any other magick.

And you can observe that lemon would get black with the influence of the thoughts matching sourness. It would absorb the sour thoughts and such thoughts could never influence the reality because of the reasons that those negative thoughts are locked inside the lemon.

Even if you use any other materials for any puja, you try to establish more psychological connection with that
